Yes, our practice offers flexible appointment options to meet your needs. Both group classes and one-on-one sessions can be conveniently attended online, ensuring that you can access our services from the comfort of your home. For clients local to West Tennessee, we also provide the option for in-person meetings.

Do you accept insurance?

While we do not accept insurance, our functional medicine services provide a personalized, comprehensive approach that goes beyond the scope of traditional medicine. Our focus is on addressing the root cause of your symptoms and empowering you with a tailored plan for lasting wellness. By working independently from insurance constraints, we can offer an in-depth, holistic approach that prioritizes your unique needs and goals.Although we do not accept insurance, you may be able to utilize your FSA or HSA funds for our services. We recommend consulting with your provider to determine your options.

Are you a PCP?

No, our functional medicine practice is not a replacement for your primary care provider. Instead, we offer a holistic approach that complements your existing primary care physician and specialists' care. Our goal is to empower you with personalized insights, guidance, and strategies to help you make well-informed decisions about your health and achieve optimal wellness.

What is functional medicine?

Functional Medicine is a person-centered approach that focuses on understanding the underlying causes of your symptoms and health concerns. Rather than simply treating the symptoms, Functional Medicine practitioners work with you to develop a personalized plan that addresses the root causes and promotes long-term wellness. This approach considers the interconnectedness of your body's systems, lifestyle factors, and genetic predispositions to create a holistic view of your health and optimize your well-being.

How does Dr. Tonya's 12-week personalized wellness program work?

The 12-week personal wellness program begins with a comprehensive online assessment and review of any available lab results (it is not a requirement to have current lab results). After Dr. Tonya has reviewed your answers to your questionnaire, she will craft a personalized wellness plan unique for you. Your first appointment will be a 1.5 hour initial consultation, virtual or in person, during which Dr. Tonya will explain her findings and explain your personalized plan. After the initial consultation, you'll meet with Dr. Tonya every two weeks for the remainder of your 12-week program. Between appointments you'll be able to communicate via Healthie, Dr. Tonya's HIPAA-compliant app. You'll also have on-demand educational videos and supportive documents like meal guides, food swaps and more added to your client documents folder in the Healthie app so that you have all the resources and support needed for success.

Is this program suitable for individuals with dietary restrictions or allergies?

Absolutely! Unlike other plans, Dr. Tonya's personal wellness plans are customized to your unique needs.

Can I continue my current medications while participating in the program?

Yes, do not stop taking any prescription medications without the consent of the prescribing physician.
